Mortal Kombat is one of the greatest, (And bloodiest!), fighting game series of all time. It was the reason the ESRB rating system was created, and it inspired a short-lived MK cartoon series for children, (Yes, that was a thing.), an MK web-series, and 2 MK movies! This is the first and only crossover game in the MK series. No one seems to want to ever speak of this game again. Shao Kahn has been defeated, his evil plan to merge Outworld with Earthrealm foiled, his followers banished to Netherrealm. It seems like everyone in Earthrealm and Outworld can rest easy. There will never be another invasion of Earthrealm. OR WILL THERE???? New warriors have been spotted all over Earthrealm, a man dressed in a black bat suit, a man dressed like a red devil with a lightning bolt on his chest, a man who says he owns a company called "Lexcorp", Etc. Who are these new warriors? Do they work for Shao Kahn? Is Earthrealm merging with another world? Can our heroes stop the invasion? Play Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe to find out!
This game is really fun and really cool! It actually has a real story mode that you can play twice, one time from the MK character's point of view, and one time from the DC character's point of view. There is also an arcade mode that plays just like any classic MK game. The gameplay is fast paced and fun, with new mechanics introduced, like Free-Fall Kombat and Klose Kombat! The fatalities and brutalities are pretty cool, but hard to execute. Fatalities are always hard to perform in any MK game. The roster is a little small, but there are SO many MK and DC characters that it would be very hard to fit them all in, so I understand. The voice acting isn't fantastic, but it isn't bad. The graphics aren't great either, but they aren't bad. The story is a little bit hard to take seriously, which is probably why no one wants to ever mention this game again. However, the story isn't very important in a fighting game. If the game does have a good story, like in Injustice: Gods Among Us or Mortal Kombat (2011), great! If not, oh well! It doesn't really matter. Overall, this is a good game! It isn't great, and it certainly isn't the best the MK series has to offer, but it sure is a fun game! It doesn't matter if you are a Mortal Kombat fan, a DC fan, or are new to both, you should still like this game. I would recommend this game for ages 12 and up. This is one of the only MK games that is rated T, but there is still a lot of blood, (That you can turn off, if you want.), and the female fighters do have big boobs. I give this game a 3.9 stars out of 5! There isn't anything else to say but, MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you played Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe? What did you think of it? Tell me in the comments!
