Eyes: The Horror Game is a first-person indie survival horror game for iOS devices. In the game, you are a man on a heist mission. You must navigate the old mansion looking for 20 bags of cash. Once you have found them all, get to the exit. However, something is following you, hunting you. You can collect eyes on the wall to see what the creature sees. If the game tells you to run, oh my GOD you'd better run! If you get caught, the game is over.
This game is a lot like Slender: The 8 Pages, but I say it stands on it's own very well! This game makes you feel a different kind of horror. Instead of jumpscares from seeing Slender Man, this game gives you a feeling of dread. You feel very panicked and terrified when the game tells you to run, that you sometimes want to give up and let it get you. That is a lot scarier than Slender's jumpscares, in my opinion. The locations are very creepy, especially the basement, and they truly give you a feeling of claustrophobia everywhere you go, unlike in Slender, where the bathroom is the only claustrophobic location. There are lots of good hiding places, again, unlike Slender. If the furniture starts rattling and the screen says run, if you get your head together, (No pun intended, you would understand if you play the game.), the game always gives you a chance to hide. The sound design, like Slender, is very creepy in this game, especially the sound of children moaning! Shudder! Also, there is the sound of wind whistling inside the house. Awesome. The eye mechanic is very innovative, it gives you a chance to see how close the creature is to you so you can hide in advance. Now, the game is pretty easy to beat compared to Slender, but there are different levels of difficulty, so it won't get boring. There are lots of ads in the lite version of the game, which can bring you out of the creepy atmosphere, but they don't usually pop up during gameplay, so I guess the ads aren't a huge problem. Overall, this is a pretty fun horror game! It's scary and fun! If you want to play, it is free on the App Store, but that is the lite version, which doesn't allow you to enter certain rooms, making it easier to find money bags and harder to find hiding places. If you want the full version, it costs a buck. You can also get the full version as a free download for Mac and Windows from a few websites. It is very nice to play an iOS horror game that isn't just another crappy Slender: The 8 Pages fan-made spinoff! So, definitely try it out if you have an iOS device. I would recommend it for ages 12 and up because of the game's creepiness. Overall, this game gets 4 stars out of 5! Spoooooooooooooooooky!
